Anabel
After completing my studies and advanced training as a psychological psychotherapist, I initially returned to academia. I had long been fascinated by the neural foundations of psychological processes, a passion that began during my studies in neuropsychology. However, I soon discovered that my path was leading me elsewhere.

I decided to devote myself fully to psychotherapy, gaining clinical experience in various hospitals before opening my own private practice. Over time, I felt a growing desire to further develop myself in other areas and to engage with topics traditionally associated more with coaching. These include promoting mental health in the sense of prevention (resilience training), professional development, navigating life transitions, managing challenges, and enhancing performance in competitive sports or exam situations.
In elite sports, athletes are supported in developing mental flexibility, helping them better cope with stress, pressure, and setbacks, and ultimately improve their performance in a sustainable way. Alongside my specialization in ACT, I expanded my expertise in sports mental coaching through advanced training at the Milton Erickson Institute (hypnotherapy for mental strength in sports and performance) and the von Kunhardt Academy (certified sports mental coach training).
Supporting people in unlocking their potential and discovering what truly matters to them is deeply meaningful to me. It enriches my life, and I continue to pursue ongoing training in this area. In addition to my formal qualification in behavioral therapy, my main focus is on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I regularly attend professional trainings, including with ACT founder Prof. Dr. Steven Hayes, Dr. Robyn Walser, and Dr. Kelly G. Wilson.
Since mindfulness is a central aspect of ACT, I have personally practiced mindfulness intensively for around 15 years through yoga and meditation. (Don’t worry—you don’t have to become a yogi to benefit from ACT!)
In addition to my yoga practice, I completed MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) training at Brown University in Providence and have participated in numerous workshops with experts in mindfulness and mindful movement.
I am also a lecturer at the PSP (Psychotherapy Studies Program) of the University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland, where I teach ACT and MBSR to future psychotherapists.
Several times a year, I offer inspiring retreats by the Baltic Sea in Neustadt, where participants can strengthen their resilience and learn to manage stress and pressure in a healthy way. On a beautiful, historic country estate, we combine proven techniques from ACT and MBSR with relaxation and a sense of community. It’s my heartfelt mission to provide people with expert knowledge for better stress management in a relaxed atmosphere that fosters personal growth and lasting well-being.
In my practice in Hamburg-Rotherbaum, I also offer regular resilience training for better stress management.
All of my services are also available in English.

And I’m Louis — a Goldendoodle with a big heart ❤️
I always get excited about visitors, absolutely love people, and after greeting you joyfully, I’ll either relax next to you or curl up in my bed.
Got a dog hair allergy? No worries — as a Goldendoodle, I’m usually very allergy-friendly.
Not a fan of dogs or feeling nervous around them? That’s totally fine! I’m happy to chill in the next room with the team. But if you’d like to work on overcoming your fear, I’d be glad to be part of that process too.
Looking forward to meeting you! 🐾
